• This Atari 2600 still wants to play some games

    Not too long ago I was given an Atari 2600 and a lot of games. It didn't work. Checked the power supply but it was fine. Vitaliy discovered that if it was switched on, then the power cord removed and re-inserted it would work! It still had life in it and wants to play some games! What was strange was that as soon as you turn it off and try to turn it back on it wouldn't come up. The only way to make it work was by jamming in the power cord with the 2600 switched on. Thought maybe...

    The other day I was thinking about making a wooden case to store my Atari 2600 and all the accessories in. I don't know if I will actually do it, but right now it is packed in a cardboard box and a couple of shopping bags and it's kind of a mess. Besides trying to figure out how I would organize it best, I was thinking that on the outside of the case it would be neat to carve a design into it that would represent what was inside.     I got mine, did you get yours? I picked it up just a few minutes after midnight. Around 10pm I went over to see how many people were camped out in front of GameStop. Only about 5 people there. Plus a homeless guy that must have been quite drunk, he was trying to keep everyone entertained. At 11 the store opened to let everyone in from the cold.     My cousin Dave sent me an email yesterday afternoon about Wii pre-orders at GameStop. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go over or not, but there's one very close to me next to the grocery store.
